It seems as if in the future companies and recruitment consultants are going to hire people by looking at video CVs in addition to their CV on a hardcopy. I would like to invite you to share your thoughts on this topic.
Yeah. video resume is not just a great idea but beneficial too.It depends on the nature of the job too. A animator or 3d artist may submit a video resume along with a printed copy. As i am 3d artist, employer’s always will look my work first that too in CD/DVD or websites etc. So adding a video resume will not harm anyway.

Well, it gives an employer the chance to assess a person also in terms of personality, body language, behaviour, etc. which on paper you would never be able to express.
