Would you prefer a phone interview to a face-to-face interview? Why?

Well, I would say I would prefer a face-to-face interview to a phone interview because this allows me to give my future employer an idea about my manners, appearance, body language, communication skills, etc. In a phone interview the focus will mainly be on your communication skills. Even though you might have to invest a bit more time and effort to prepare yourself for the face2face interview, compared to the phone interview. But I think it also depends on the type of job you are applying …. if it is a job in which you would have to deal a lot with people on the phone they might be mainly interested in knowing how you come across over the phone and want to test that with a straight call. Or they have a lot of applicants and they want to do the first screening over the phone before they might invite you for a face2face interview.

I agree with you - I would prefer a face-to-face interview for the same reasons. But also, I cannot judge their opinions of me so well just by hearing their voice. So it would be more useful for me to see them and judge by their body language what would be best to say.
